THE VINTAGE SECTION
The Vintage Section of the Sporting Car Club of South Australia caters primarily for any vehicle manufactured between 1919 and 1939 inclusive. The Vintage Section welcomes vehicles of all ages and types Whether they are touring, sports, commercial, racing, etc, manufactured from the begining of 1919.
By the commencement of this period the motoring industry was well established throughout the industrialised world, and produced a wide variety of interesting vehicles. We usually have a broad mixture of vehicles on our outings with drivers and there passengers enjoying themselves.
Considerable technological development took place during this time and many vehicles are capable of keeping up with modern traffic, relatively easy to maintain and yet old enough to be quite different. The Vintage Section encourages the restoration, maintenance and enjoyment of these vehicles.
Many find our approach of relaxed inexpensive outings and segments on maintenance and restoration appealing. So no matter what you drive or ride please come along!
Monthly meetings and outings are held throughout the year where everyone is made most welcome.
